I have decided to do research topic #4- portrating minds. The movie I have chosen to do is The Notebook. Since I have a copy of the movie and the book at home I will not have trouble choosing the scenes for the paper. The next thing I need to do is find a book about alzheimers and compare the facts from the book to the movie so I can determine whether or not what the movie portrays about alzheimers is correct.
I have a couple of scenes in mind for the paper. So far, one of them is the scene when Allie, the one diagnosed with alzheimers, suddenly remembers who Noah is and that the book is about them while she is having dinner with him. But that only lasts a short while and then she starts to panic and forgets who he is and why he is talking to her.
